Social Responsibility
- Rs 5 million was donated to ” President's fund” to afford the persons affected by tsunami in 2004.
- We maintain two access roads to the mine, which across the villages namely Pannala, Haloluwa, Dodangastenna, Karandawatte, Abasinkanda, Panankumbura, Aruggammana, Udagama.
- We have provided IT facilities to the nearby schools namely Aruggammana Maha Vidyalaya and Haloluwa Vidyalaya. Also We pay the monthly wages for the 02 Nos of voluntary teachers at Aruggammana Maha Vidyalaya and Aruggammana Primary School.
- Improved the electrical facilities by wiring the school buildings at Aruggammana Primary School.
- Providing the technical services, We help the Karawanella Base Hospital to maintain the hospital services, as the nearest government hospital to the mine.
- We provide drinking water facilities to the people living around the mine premises.
- Provide English teaching for mine employees’ children during the week ends.
